Spring Workshops in Cape May, New Jersey
In 1990, Ori founded the New Jersey Heritage Workshops held annually during the spring season in Cape May for photographers and other fine artists. The series offers a variety of photography, painting and sketching workshops that run for 3 and 4 days each. Set in the casual atmosphere of a private cottage within the historic district of Cape May, these workshops provide insights into the use of film or digital cameras, Photoshop, Inkjet Printing, Lighting, Oil Painting, PanPastel Painting, Traditional Pastel Painting, Watercolor Painting, Sketching, as well as other new topics that get added each year. The Victorian streets, shoreline, birds, fishing boats and spring blossoms of Cape May supply each participant with an abundance of architecture, still life, nature and landscape possibilities. Tuition ranges from $295-450. All workshops include a wine and cheese reception and a narrated walking tour through the historic area by Nancy Ori for you and your guest. Each participant will be responsible for his or her accommodations, meals and transportation during the workshop. Some reasonable accommodations will be available at the Cottage where the workshops are being held on a first come, first served basis. Spouses or adult guests are invited to all meals and field sessions. There are also evening sessions which include discussions, instructor presentations and student critiques.
